ELEANORA OWEN Writer/Singer/Actor
Eleanora Owen began her journey into acting and performing before arriving in the United States, when she was seven years old. She began performing in productions in Elementary and Junior High school, finally becoming immersed in theatre while attending Hollywood High Performing Arts school. After attending UCLA, she earned her BFA in Theatre and Film, was involved in multiple productions, both on and off campus… until her career was put on hold, when she became a full-time caregiver for her grandmother for twenty years. Following the passing of her beloved grandmother, Annie, Eleanora was introduced to The Sarah Fulton Group, where she enthusiastically focused on making up for lost time. Encouraged by the group’s doctrine, she took to writing a series of short one-acts and currently, has more than seventy of them, produced on stage. “BEING PIAF” is a production which has evolved since childhood. Inspired by her French grandmother, Eleanora learned all about Edith Piaf as well as learning every song in her repertoire. She’s very grateful for the opportunity to bring “BEING PIAF” to the Odyssey Theatre, and wishes to thank everyone who has helped bring “BEING PIAF” to audiences nationally and internationally…. especially her husband and director extraordinaire, Tim Byron Owen! She would like to dedicate her entire run at The Odyssey Theatre, to Annie.
