Eating a Kiwi

Whenever I eat a kiwi
and slowly chew the skin,
I know there is a risk
of being misunderstood.

Whenever I eat a kiwi,
your birth comes fresh to mind,
the flesh of my desire,
the joy of swallowing you.

Within the taste of a kiwi,
a feast of fruit,
the body is firm, luscious,
at risk of being understood.
