On the night of November 22, 1987, television viewers across Chicago witnessed something that shouldn't have been possible.

During two separate broadcasts, an unknown person wearing a Max Headroom mask suddenly hijacked local television signals and appeared on screen, delivering a bizarre stream of nonsense, strange jokes, and unsettling behavior before disappearing just as quickly as they arrived.

More than three decades later, nobody has ever been identified, arrested, or publicly connected to the intrusion.
