It is Carer's Week in the UK. Karolina Gerlich is the Chief Executive of The Care Workers' Charity. She is a former care worker who regularly briefs MPs and government on social care workforce policy. They are celebrating a long-overdue moment of national recognition for unpaid carers - and hoping the conversation will also include England's 1.6 million paid care workers who stand alongside them in every home, care home and community in the country.
