Did Anyone Protect Nolan Wells Or Lindsay Clancy's Kids?

Live, Tony Brueski takes the full mailbag on two cases — Nolan Wells in Mississippi and Lindsay Clancy in Massachusetts.

Nolan Wells, eighteen, rode out to Horn Island on the Fourth of July with friends from Ocean Springs. The island is undeveloped, about ten miles off the Mississippi coast, with no shelter, no fresh water, and no reliable way to call anybody. The boats went home without him. A National Park Service ranger found his body in the water two days later. There are two examinations of him and neither has been released. Cause and manner of death remain undetermined. Attorney Ben Crump is running an independent investigation and the district attorney has said the case will go to a grand jury.

Lindsay Clancy has pleaded not guilty to three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of her children — Cora, five, Dawson, three, and eight-month-old Callan — at the family's Duxbury home in January 2023. Her attorney argues she was misdiagnosed and overmedicated and experiencing postpartum psychosis. Prosecutors have pointed to other mothers who lived through the same condition without harming their children. Eighteen jurors are being seated. Patrick Clancy, who publicly forgave his wife, is a defense witness. She has never given law enforcement a statement.

The questions on the table: why a boat left an island with a kid still on it, what happens if two autopsies conflict, whether a grand jury can charge anybody, what a jury does when the only person who knows what happened has never spoken, and whether any ending in that Plymouth County courtroom could honestly be called justice.

Both cases. Bring your questions.
