Kohberger's Petition Says WHO Was In The Room

Bryan Kohberger stood in an Idaho courtroom and told a judge, four separate times, that he deliberately killed each of his victims. Asked if he was pleading guilty because he was guilty, he said yes. Asked if anyone had forced him, he said no. Thirteen months later, from a maximum security cell, he's asking a judge to let him take it all back.
Live, Tony Brueski and retired FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer go through Kohberger's handwritten petition line by line against the actual unsealed record. His central claim — that "clumps of hair" found in a victim's hand prove his innocence — traces back to a published book, not to any forensic report. His own defense team already had a hair from that hand tested. It came back consistent with the victim's own.
Then there's the line in the petition that may matter more than the hair: Kohberger's claim about exactly who was present during his private meetings with his own attorneys. Coffindaffer breaks down why prosecutors and defense teams alike take that kind of allegation seriously, and why it could cut against him instead of helping his case.
They also cover the amended witness list naming a hundred and eighty people prosecutors were prepared to call, what got recovered from the crime scene, what never got tested, and why nearly every legal expert who has looked at petitions like this one says they fail — even when, on paper, the law allows them to be filed at all. It's a live breakdown of where the actual evidence ends and where the petition starts filling in its own version of events.
