Inspector Roy Teague is a serving UK police officer, researcher and author of Close Encounters of the Police Kind, a collection of UFO and unexplained encounters reported by British police officers.

Roy joins me to discuss what he learned from speaking with hundreds of serving and former officers, why so many witnesses stayed silent for years, how police training can affect the way unusual incidents are observed and reported, and the continuing stigma surrounding the UFO subject in the UK.

We also get into some of the cases that stood out during his research, including an extraordinary RAF radar incident from 1993, sightings involving police helicopters, how an unusual report would actually be handled by police today, and why Britain remains so reluctant to engage publicly with the UAP issue.
