COVID infections are rising or likely rising in all 50 states, according to the CDC. Health experts say the latest summer wave could peak in early September. Wastewater data also shows COVID levels have more than doubled since July, with the South and West currently seeing some of the highest levels. We asked our infectious disease expert, Dr. Fred Browne, about the latest data and what that means with kids heading back to school soon.
