Pinellas Park native Nick Masset, former major league pitcher, talks baseball with Dan Hirshberg for this edition of Play Ball!! A workhorse middle and late innings reliever with the Cincinnati Reds, Nick realized his dream of pitching in the majors. With the Reds, he was 13-11 with a 3.07 ERA, and 228 strikeouts in 241 innings of work, pitching in 74, 82 and 75 games respectively in 2009-2011, and helped the Reds clinch the Central Division title in 2010. He had to overcome many injuries, including a near death experience, eventually cutting his career short. A lot to talk about including Nick's post playing career and what he's up to now.
