Lindsay Clancy and Andrea Yates Have One Thing in Common

Andrea Yates drowned her five children in a bathtub in 2001. She was found not guilty by reason of insanity in 2006. She has been confined to a state psychiatric facility in Texas for twenty years. She has never been released. She has never been deemed safe for the public. Lindsay Clancy is facing the same legal question in Massachusetts, and the parallels between the two cases are the subject of this conversation.
