PLAY BALL with Dan Hirshberg: Buck Martinez, Toronto Blue Jays Hall of Excellence

Dan Hirshberg is joined by Buck Martinez, the newest member of the Toronto Blue Jays Hall of Excellence, on this special edition of Play Ball!! A Major League ballplayer for 17 years with three different teams including Toronto, Buck Martinez, eventually became renowned for his work behind the mic as a color commentator, most notably with the Blue Jays. Buck was in the booth full-time from 1987 through 2025, a majority of those years with Toronto, adding his insight in over 4000 games with the Blue Jays including last year's near-miss World Series victory. During his broadcast career Buck, who also briefly managed the Blue Jays and has lived in Pinellas County for many years, also did work with ESPN and was co-host of XM Radio's "Baseball This Morning" show.
