Melissa in the Morning: Releasing a DCF Report

The state is fighting the release of a DCF report into how the agency handled the alleged Waterbury captivity case. The man at the center of the case, known as “S,” says he was held captive by his stepmother for more than two decades. His attorneys say the report could help prove the state failed to protect him. However, the state argues the records should remain confidential. We talked to State Senator Jason Perillo, the ranking senator for the Committee on Children and has been critical of DCF, the agency, not the workers, especially in cases like this one in Waterbury.
