Something Took Control Of My Body

When I woke up, my eyes were already open. It’s a strange sensation. In all my years on this planet, the first thing I do every morning is open my eyes. This one time, I didn’t. It was unnerving, to say the least. I was lying on my side, facing my bedroom window. The blinds were down, leaving a sliver of sunlight peeking through the cracks. One of them hit me square in the eye, but I couldn’t blink it away. I was just lying there, staring at the sun. I couldn’t blink. The more I thought about it, I couldn’t close my eyes at all.
