JP Miller Claims Tracking Mica Was 'Protection' — The Feds Charged Him

Federal prosecutors say JP Miller didn't deny tracking Mica Miller. They say he justified it. According to the charging documents, he told agents the surveillance was about protecting his estranged wife — from herself. The federal government charged him with cyberstalking.

Miller was indicted in December 2025 on two counts — cyberstalking and making false statements to federal investigators. The allegations cover November 2022 through Mica's death in April 2024. Prosecutors describe tracking devices, over fifty contacts in a day, financial interference, tire damage, and an intimate image posted without consent. Miller allegedly hired a private investigator and told agents it was to prevent Mica from buying firearms. Miller pleaded not guilty. He denies the allegations and is not charged in Mica's death.

Mica was thirty. She filed for divorce two days before dying. Her death was ruled a suicide. The federal trial has been pushed to October 2026 after multiple continuances.

Mica told police she was being tracked. She reported it. She asked for help. While she was reportedly in a mental health facility, her devices were allegedly taken. Nobody in a position of authority allegedly intervened on her behalf.
