The Olney Father’s Book Described THIS Before Investigators Found the Chemicals

In 2014, Raymond “R.C.” Horsch published a book called Empathy: The Memoir of an Empathetic Serial Killer. He described strangling a woman named “Krista,” driving to an industrial supplier off Packer Avenue, buying a drum of sodium hydroxide, and using forty pounds of lye to dissolve her in a basement bathtub. He said it was fiction.

R.C. died in May 2025. He was eighty-two. Never charged with a violent crime. His son Eugene—born in New Zealand while R.C. was a fugitive living under a stolen identity—inherited the house at 417 West Chew Avenue in Philadelphia’s Olney neighborhood.

On June 19, 2026, a park ranger pulled Eugene over at Independence Mall. Inside the car: two guns with obliterated serial numbers, a fake DEA badge with Eugene’s face, and a woman carrying the ID of Blair Tonzelli, missing since 2023. The search that followed uncovered a basement with a 55-gallon drum connected to water lines, containers of chemicals, and more than a million digital files across fifty hard drives.

Police say the footage shows women who appear to be dead—and the man on camera is R.C. Seven women are linked to the house. Five are believed dead. No bodies have been found.

R.C. Horsch was a National Merit Scholar, a counterfeiter, a meth cook, a fugitive, and a filmmaker who recruited women from Kensington with cash and drugs. A 1985 federal psych eval diagnosed him with paranoid personality disorder and called him “consumed by anger.” His ex-wife vanished from the house in 2016. A missing woman’s photo sat on his own website for years. None of that opened the front door. A parking violation did.

Eugene is in federal custody on gun and credential charges. He has not been charged with harming anyone.
