Trial Of Caleb Flynn Day 3: Kayla Keyt Put WHAT Number On His Future?

The family business came directly into the Caleb Flynn trial when Ashley Flynn’s sister, Kayla Keyt, testified about Caleb’s income, his future with the company, and conversations the family had before Ashley was killed.

Kayla testified that Caleb was earning roughly $200,000 a year as a salesman in the family company. She said her father intended to retire and divide the business between Kayla and Ashley, and that she had discussed the financial projections with Caleb. According to her testimony, those projections included the possibility of annual earnings in the $300,000 to $400,000 range.

Kayla also walked jurors through Caleb’s interactions with the family after Ashley’s death. She testified that she was present when Caleb told his daughters their mother had died. She later said Caleb told her he feared investigators would blame him, leaving the children without either parent.

The testimony also moved into Caleb’s alleged affair with Alleigha Botner. Kayla said she knew Botner through the church worship team but had no knowledge of the alleged relationship until police questioned her. She testified that she initially rejected the report and later described the alleged affair as revolting from her personal perspective.

Matthew Keyt followed with testimony about his friendship with Caleb and their shared work as salesmen in the family business.

Caleb Flynn has pleaded not guilty in the killing of his wife, Ashley Flynn. The defense maintains Ashley was killed during a home invasion.
