Caleb Flynn Court Coverage Day 5: Botner Reads WHAT He Allegedly Wanted?!

Caleb Flynn's former mistress, Alleigha Botner, continued reading messages for jurors, including one she attributed to Caleb: "Please hire someone to take douche out!" The text landed as prosecutors continued presenting the private communications they say matter to their case.

Caleb Flynn has pleaded not guilty in the death of his wife, Ashley Flynn. Prosecutors allege he killed Ashley inside their Tipp City home and staged a burglary scene. The defense maintains that an intruder killed Ashley and that police rushed to judgment.

Botner's testimony gives jurors Caleb's alleged words from the affair rather than a summary of them from investigators or attorneys. Prosecutors can argue about why those words matter. The defense can argue about context and meaning. The twelve people in the jury box have to decide whether the message helps prove the state's case or simply documents an ugly private conversation.
