What Caleb Flynn Texted When His Girlfriend Offered to Help

Caleb Flynn's former girlfriend spent hours on the witness stand in his Miami County murder trial, and prosecutors had her read his own words about his wife. Flynn is accused of shooting Ashley Flynn twice in the head as she slept on February 16, 2026, with their two daughters in the house. Alleigha Botner testified the two exchanged more than 100,000 messages and that Flynn told her every week he wished Ashley was out of his life. She said his words got darker over time, until he told her he'd been up late thinking about ways to kill her. Botner also admitted she called Ashley the same cruel names he did. Flynn has pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder. Eric Faddis, a defense attorney and former prosecutor, tells me whether a jury can treat months of that talk as a plan, and how the defense attacks a witness who admits she joined in.
