A lot of people have affairs and say terrible things about their spouses. Caleb Flynn took it from text messages to a loaded gun, prosecutors argued. They said he shot his wife Ashley twice in the back of the head while she slept in their Tipp City home and staged the scene as a home invasion. A jury convicted him on all nine counts. Flynn was a worship leader and former American Idol contestant who had been having an 18-month affair with a 24-year-old church intern. He exchanged over 107,000 messages with her. In one, he allegedly wrote about finding ways to kill his wife and avoid prison. The defense said the messages were talk, not plans. The jury disagreed in about two hours. Attorney Bob Motta and retired FBI agent Robin Dreeke break down the psychology of a man who chose murder over divorce and the moment he crossed the line.
