The Upsala Bluejays beat the Sobieski Skis 7-1 in Upsala. It was the first time the Jays had beaten their West rivals since June 30th, 2013 when they beat the Skis 1-0 on a Ben Burggraff 8th inning HR. John Fuchs goes the distance as the Jays improve to 2-0.

The Pioneers beat the Eagles 8-1 in Game 1 of a doubleheader behind a very 7-inning pitching performance from David Skiba.

The Pierz Pioneers opened the 2016 season with an 11-2 win at Milaca on a snowy, cold day. Lane Girtz went 5 innings to get the win and also had 3 hits including 2 doubles.

The 8th seeded Pioneers and #1 seeded Crusaders are tied 27-27 at halftime and then Pierz grabs a 6-point lead early in the 2nd half. But the Crusaders go on a 13-2 run to grab the lead and go on to win 63-54. Kelsi Stuckmayer scores 14 and Kacy Broschofsky adds 10 for the Pioneers.

Individuals try and advance to the Semifinal round as the competition gets tougher at the Excel Energy Center and the State Wrestling Tournament.

A win in the Consolation Semifinals guarantees a spot on the Medal Podium for Individuals at the State Wrestling Tournament.
