Calls for President to intervene to save pastors facing death penalty in Khartoum

Civil society has asked the President to intervene to secure the release of two South Sudanese pastors currently facing the death penalty in Khartoum, Sudan.

The two pastors, Yad Michael, and 26-year-old Peter Yen are charged with spying, espionage and inciting tribal sentiments.

Edmund Yakani, Executive Director for the Community Empowerment for Progress Organization (CEPO) says the President needs to intervene immediately.

He spoke to Miraya's Sebit William earlier.
