President Salva Kiir arrives in Addis Ababa ahead of deadline for Peace deal

President Salva Kiir travelled to Addis Ababa on Sunday to attend peace talks aimed at brokering an end to the 20 month conflict.
President Kiir’s travel on Sunday came amid intense diplomatic pressure on both the government and SPLA in opposition to sign a deal today 17 August 2015.
Addressing a news conference in Juba on Sunday, Cabinet Affairs minister, Martin Elia Lumoro said, President Kiir would use this opportunity to explain to the SPLA opposition leaders and regional presidents, the challenges confronting the signing of the proposed compromise peace agreement.#southsudan, #Juba, #peacedeal, #igad
