Political parties to meet IGAD chief mediator in Juba next week

Political parties are expected to meet with the IGAD chief mediator next week.

The parties have not signed the peace agreement, mainly on an account of an impasse between the political party leadership.

It is expected the meeting with Ambassador Seyoum Mesfin will address this.

Dr. Martin Elia Lomoro, chairperson of the South Sudan Democratic Forum also Cabinet Affairs minister said the two sections of the political parties led by Dr Lam Akol and himself, have received communication from the Chief mediator on the meeting set for the 17th of this month.

Lomuro stressed that the political parties are key stakeholders to the peace agreement.
