GESS strives to create environment in Support of Girl's education in South Sudan

Only one girl in ten completes primary education in South Sudan, according to the latest figures published by Girl's Education South Sudan - GESS.

GESS has launched a mass drive to transform a generation of South Sudanese girls, by increasing their access to quality education.

With Support from the UK department for International Development - DFID, GESS has so far launched several initiatives designed to increase classroom attendance targeting the girls.

One of these initiatives is the School's Attendance Monitoring Systems - locally known as "Ana Fii Ini" meaning i am here.
