Peter Mayen on How to Fix South Sudan's Economy
Several months after the signing of the peace agreement to resolve the conflict in South Sudan, and the formation of the Transitional Government of National Unity – TGoNU, South Sudan’s economy still looks bleak.
Consumers are in pain as the prices of goods continue to rise and the state of the economy increasingly becomes the talk of an average man on the streets of #Juba #SouthSudan.
But Peter Mayen, of the People’s Liberal Party – PLP says this doesn’t have to be this way.
In an interview with Miraya Breakfast show, Peter Mayien said, South Sudan’s economic problems are rooted in the heavy reliance of politicians and not economists.
