At least 4.8mln people in South Sudan cannot afford more than one meal a day. US Ambassador to South Sudan, Molly Phee says the food security statistics are terrifying and measures must be taken to remove all restrictions on delivery of much needed assistance.
On security, Ambassador Phee says there is a ‘superficial’ sense of peace that shrouds Juba during the day, giving way to criminality at night.
