"It is not a subversive campaign to position women above men"

UN Peacekeepers in Bor are stepping up to raise their voices for gender equality and equal participation of both men and women in all aspects of life without discrimination.

A cross section of UNMISS military, police and civilian staff will take part in a series of community outreach events including a visit to a girls school and a luncheon with women as part of events to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of the “HeforShe’ campaign, a global UN initiative to push for gender equality.

UNMISS Gender Advisor Capt. Nathan Bradney explains the importance of the campaign in this interview with David Majur.
