UN Human Rights Commissioner Implores Government to Preserve Evidence of Conflict related Crimes

“We are hungry, we are thirsty, we are sick and we feel unsafe and insecure, we need protection” - statements repeatedly made by the women, men and youths of Dollo county in Kuda, located 52 kilometers from Juba in #SouthSudan.

Dr Godfrey Musila, a Human Rights Lawyer, also Commissioner at the United Nations Commission on Human Rights in South Sudan, visited Kuda on Sunday to listen first hand to the human rights concerns and issues of the citizens there.

Machrine Birungi, caught up with Dr Musila and asked him to explain why this sort of interaction with the ordinary people is crucial for the Commission on Human Rights in South Sudan.
