FAO farmer field schools transforming Women's lives in South Sudan

Unprecedented levels of marginalization against women in South Sudan, has prompted the establishment of farmer field schools - one of the biggest initiatives yet by the UN’s food and Agriculture Organization - FAO.
With more than 600 farmer field schools spread across the country, Rose Adede, the Gender Officer with the Food and Agriculture Organization, said the idea is to empower women with farming skills, while at the same time improve their livelihoods.
Adede Rose, spoke with Miraya Breakfast show host, Sebit William, and explains how these schools are transforming the lives of women in South Sudan.
