Scholarship program gives hope to refugees

A scholarship program is restoring hope for Sudanese refugees whose education was cut short by conflict.

The Albert Einstein German Academic Refugee Initiative Fund scholarships, launched in 1992 is open to young refugees to study at universities, colleges and polytechnics in their host countries.

Funded by the German government and implemented by UNHCR, the scholarship program has given opportunities to several South Sudanese students.

#UNHCR external relations officer, Richard Ruati and Kolax Abraham, one of the beneficiaries studying at St Mary’s College in Juba visited Radio Miraya studio's to tell us more about this scholarship program and it's impact on the refugee students.
