ICRC urges warring parties in Waat to respect international humanitarian law

The International Committee of the Red Cross, the ICRC is reminding the warring sides in Waat, capital of Bieh state to respect international humanitarian law and allow for the evacuation of the wounded.

The ICRC has been evacuating several wounded combatants to ensure they have access to the medical assistance, to which they are entitled.

ICRC Communications Coordinator, Robin Waudo, told Radio Miraya there are still more people who need to be evacuated for prompt access to medical care.
