Church urge warring parties to Cease Hostilities, sieze one last chance 4 peace

The second phase of talks between South Sudan's warring parties continue today. The talks which kicked off last week in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa aim to revitalize a 2015 peace deal between the government and opposition forces.

The South Sudan Episcopal church issued a statement,  urging the parties to negotiate in the interest of the people of South Sudan, make compromises and prioritise peace and not war.  

The statement was read out by Bishop Isiah Majok Dhau, of the South Sudan council of churches.
