UNV top officials applaud work of UN volunteers in South Sudan

The Deputy Executive Coordinator of the United Nations Volunteers, Toily Kurbanov, has concluded a two-day official visit to South Sudan.
Njoya Tikum, the Regional Manager for East and Southern Africa at United Nations Volunteers, accompanied Toily Kurbanov for the trip, which was aimed to give the two officials assess the operations of the UN volunteers serving in the UN mission, agencies, funds and programs in the country.
Kurbanov spoke highly of the United Nations Volunteers serving in South Sudan, stressing that they are a critical pillar to the operations of the UN mandate in South Sudan.
Kurbanov and Tikum appeared on Miraya Breakfast Show, to discuss their impression of the work of UNVs in South Sudan.
