UNMISS Inaugurates installation of solar power lighting system at Maar Primary health care centre

The United Nations Mission in the country has inaugurated a solar power lighting system at Maar primary health care centre, in Jonglei state.

The 24 Solar Panels are expected to generate enough power to operate vital equipment like vaccine freezers and medicines at the health facility.

Jonglei state governor, Philip Aguer, appreciated the support of the United Nations mission in South Sudan.

UNMISS head of field Office, Deborah Schein, hopes the primary health care centre will facilitate the delivery of better health care services and encourage the return and reintegration of displaced persons back to Maar.
