Analyst says extension of government’s tenure allows it to remain legitimate

A Policy Analyst at the Sudd Institute Zachariah Diing Akol has said the extension of the tenure of government by three years is the right move to avoid a power vacuum.
Last week Parliament voted unanimously to extend the tenure of government by three years from August 2018 to August 2021.
Zachariah Diing says the extension was necessary because it allows it remain legitimate and continue in peace talks in Khartoum.
He spoke to Gabriel Shaddar
