James Gatdet Dak; "I Want to Express my Happiness that I am Free Again"

The former spokesperson of the SPLM-IO leader, James Gatdet Dak, thanked President Salva Kiir for ordering his release from prison.

“I would like to thank President Salva Kiir. We congratulate him not only on signing the peace agreement, but for the magnificent speech he made the other day during the peace celebration,” he said.

He shared his happiness at regaining freedom;

“I want to express my happiness that I am free again after two years in detention and prison, and incidentally this is the same day i was arrested in Nairobi on November 02nd 2016," said James Gadet. 

Speaking to Journalists shortly after he was released on Friday in Juba, Gadet said he wants to re - unite with his family after two years in detention. 

"My priorities is to reunite with my families after this long period of time, especially this time of Pre -transitional period I would use to visit my families."
