The South Sudan Civil Society Alliance has hit an obstacle in its lawsuit challenging the extension of the Pre-Transitional period.

The Civil Society groups dragged all the parties that are signatory to the peace agreement to court on the 15th of this month, claiming the six-month extension, that was unanimously approved, was not done through the correct procedures.

Alliance Chairperson, Akuoch Ajang, says they were directed by the court to pursue the case through the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs.

Ajang explains to Sworo Charles Elisha in this interview that the Minister of Justice has declined to take the case to court.
