Jubek Health Minister publicly apologizes for child's death at Al-Sabbah hospital

The Minister of Health for Jubek state has publicly apologized for the death of a baby at Al Sabbah Children’s Hospital in Juba, over what has been reported as ‘negligence.’
An eight-month-old baby died two weeks ago when the hospital generator was reportedly switched off, as he was on oxygen supply.
It followed the death of a new-born baby over what the parents termed as ‘similar negligence.’
Both the management of al-Sabah Children’s Hospital and Jubek State Ministry of health at first described the allegations as false.
In an exclusive interview with Radio Miraya, Jubek State Minister for health, Salyi Lokaku said he was sorry and explained that the circumstances that led to the baby’s death.
The Minister says the hospital has since received a new generator and is hopeful such tragedies will not reoccur.
