SPLA-IO: Cantoned opposition forces rely on locally cultivated food and hand-outs

Opposition forces cantoned at designated assembly points across the country are surviving on locally cultivated food and donations from well-wishers as they continue to wait for the arrival of official consignments. 

 

SPLM-IO Deputy Spokesperson Col. Lam Paul Gabriel says shipments of food being brought in through Kosti, have not yet arrived at the 25 assembly points.

 

Col. Lam explained to Radio Miraya that the money released by the National Pre-Transitional Committee through the Joint Military Ceasefire Commission (JMCC) is not enough to pay for the deliveries.
