Former Revenue Authority Commissioner General has welcomed the lifting of movement restriction on him.
Dr. Attipo Olympio confirmed to Radio Miraya that on 31 December 2019, Minister of Finance minister Salvatore Garang lifted movement restriction imposed against him.
In August Last year, the minister of Finance dismissed Dr. Attipo Olympio from his position as South Sudan Revenue Authority’s Commissioner General accusing him of opening secret bank account outside the Country and stealing millions of dollars.
Dr. Olympio said since then, he had been confined within Juba pending investigations and that he is happy that the report of the investigation team cleared him of all wrongdoing.
Olympio says lifting movements restriction against him is the best new year gift to him.
Dr. Attipo Olympio says he has no problem with government but says he is waiting for the next action government is going to take after exonerating him.
