UN Children’s agency- UNICEF, says the status of child soldiers in South Sudan remains worrying.
Speaking in commemoration of International Red Hand Day, UNICEF South Sudan’s Chief of Communication Yves Willemot, said the day should serve as an opportunity to remind all actors in South Sudan to urgently release all child soldiers so that they are reintegrated into the communities and to continue with education.
February 12 is set aside to combat the use of child soldiers and to rally support against the recruitment of child soldiers in armed conflict.
