South Sudanese refugees in Uganda complain of looming hunger as WFP cut food ration by 30% in all the camps hosting refugees. In the new arrangement a refugee gets 2 cups of beans and 8 kilograms of maize to last them one month. Most refugees say this badly affected them. WFP says the cut is due to donors funding reduction for refugees in Eastern and Central Africa. A refugee leader in Palabek camp in Northern Uganda, Ochan Robert tells our colleague Lwak Nelson that its difficult but refugees need to make good use of the little food ration and urges South Sudan government to implement the agreement so that refugee can return and rebuild their lives.
