A team from the United Nations, the SSPDF and the National Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration Commission will be conducting a verification visit ahead of the release of 11 children from a forces training site in Lologo, Central Equatoria state. The 10 boys and 1 girl were associated with forces of the South Sudan Opposition Alliance and the SPLM-IO, and will be released in accordance with an Action Plan signed by all parties early this year. The Chief of the UNMISS Child Protection Unit, Alfred Orono Orono is part of the verification team that will visit the site. He told Radio Miraya that the children will be demobilized before the graduation of the unified forces planned for later this week.
