The Mask of Zorro

An impromptu confession near the store’s air vents leads to a spur of the moment viewing of the 1998 swashbuckling classic, The Mask of Zorro.

The 1990s were a helluva time to be a movie fan. Films like Jurassic Park and Terminator 2: Judgement Day would usher in the CGI era, wowing us each year with the wonders of computer wizardry, leaving practical effects and stunt work further and further in the past with each successive blockbuster. But one film would buck the trend and remind us of the glory days of stunt men - making audiences exclaim at the screen with “Holy Shit! That guy probably died, am I right?!

I’m your host, David Snider, and joining me as we review one of the all time greatest swashbucklers are fellow cinephiles and dashing rogues Ryan Caldwell, Michael Althouse, and special guest: Jackie.

Listen as we try our best NOT to devolve into the Chris Farley Show as we gush over this childhood favorite; Ryan introduces us to the concept of “Frame-Fucking”; and finally, we collectively swoon over the suavest male duo since Newman and Redford.
