Ministry of health confirms 10 new cases of COVID-19

The national ministry of health has confirmed 10 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the cumulative number in the country to 2,970.
The number of deaths remain at 59. Updating the media on the COVID-19 situation in the country yesterday, the director of preventive health services in the National Ministry of Health, John Romunu said the new infections came from more than 400 samples submitted for testing.
Dr. Romunu advised the public to report any suspected cases to the nearest health facility or call the toll-free number 6666.
He also advised people to observe the COVID-19 preventive measures of washing hands regularly with water and soap, keeping a distance of at least 2 metres from each other and wearing of mask in public places.
