Juba, 28 November 2020 - Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi paid a one-day official visit to Juba.
President Sisi held a closed door meeting with President Salva Kiir on a range of bi-lateral issues.
In a joint media briefing after the meeting, Presidents Sisi vowed to lend its voice in advocating for the removal of sanctions on South Sudan. Sisi also pledged support in implementing the 2018 peace agreement, areas of education and immediate assistance for flood victims.
President Kiir urged continued dialogue between Egypt and Ethiopia over the renaissance dam project.
