The COVID-19 is one disease which has greatly affected the way of life for every human being. Some communities have adapted quickly to the new normal of wearing the mask when in public places and constantly sanitizing hands, while other communities are finding it hard to do so.
The issue of behavior change requires massive sensitization. How effective have the covid19 messages been on South Sudanese?
Director of emergency preparedness and response and Chief of Operation Ministry of Health Angelo Goup Thon, said the number of coronavirus cases in the country has passed the 3,000 mark after 46 new cases were confirmed by the ministry of health within the past week. The cumulative total number of infections now stands at 3,107 including 60 deaths.
Speaking at the weekly press briefing in Juba, Thon disclosed that health care facilities are running out of personal protective equipment for medical workers to protect themselves from infection.
