SSPDF soldier arrested in Hai Cinema shoot out to stand trial before military court

An SSPDF soldier who was arrested in a military operation in Juba on Monday is set to face trial in a military court. 

The Military Intelligence officer popularly known as Mike Mike was apprehended on Monday following a gunshot exchange between National Security and Military Intelligence officers as he resisted arrest in the Hai Cinema area. 

Army spokesperson Maj Gen Lul Ruai confirmed to Radio Miraya that Mike Mike is facing several crimes and will be tried before a military court martial when investigations have been completed. 

Maj Gen Lual Ruai says no one was injured in Monday’s operation but advises anyone whose property was damaged during the shootout to seek redress through the right channels.
