Renewable energy in South Sudan

The abundance of sunlight in Africa provides a huge opportunity for renewable energy resources. However, many countries are still traditionally reliant on hydro power. How can South Sudan leverage the opportunity of renewable energy?

The International Organization for Migration IOM is putting up renewable energy structures in Malakal. This morning, the Miraya breakfast show featured IOM Chief of Mission, Peter Van Der Auweraert who gave a brief outline of the renewable energy project.
