Ilze Brand Kheris : Violations from all sides must stop

The United Nations Assistant Secretary-General for Human Rights Ilze Brands Kehris is meeting with First Vice president Dr. Riek Machar and other senior government officials to discuss the implementation peace agreement. She says the focus will be on the transitional justice provided for the peace agreement. The meeting follows her visit to Yei to get a better understanding of the situation on the ground and met with local officials, community representatives and other stakeholders.
